Handle
The Futura + handle was specially designed for the original Futura series by the
designer duo Smedegaard & Weiss. The matt chrome handle adds an exclusive
finishing touch.
Numerous locking points
The multi-point locking system around the frame is operated by a single handle
and ensures tight and secure burglar-proof windows and doors. The solid
mushroom bolts and adjustable keeps do not offer burglars much of a chance for
quick break-ins.
Handle-operated brake
Futura + comes with a handle-operated brake option, which holds the frame in
the chosen position.
Handle with ventilation catch
The 1-2 cm wide ventilation position is built in and easily operated with the
handle. Frequent airing is essential for a healthy indoor climate and to prevent
condensation forming on the inside of the window, something which the
ventilation position greatly facilitates.
Lockable cylinder in frame
A lockable cylinder inside the frame gives the locking function an attractive ap-
pearance and, as it is not – as conventionally – an integrated part of the handle
but fitted directly in the espagnolette, it opens up the possibility of retrofitting.
Frame depths
Futura + is manufactured with a standard frame depth of 149 mm and a 175 mm
option. The deep frame is an advantage with renovation projects as it covers any
pointing damage on the wall resulting from taking out the old windows. It also
makes it possible to increase the thickness of the insulation in elements with
ventilated panels.
Sealing
Another advantage of the Futura + design is that the positioning of the sealing
compound is brought forward in relation to the original Futura range. This
facilitates sealing and produces an attractive finish.
Powder-coating
The external aluminium parts are powder-coated in a thickness that ensures a
smooth, beautiful and extremely durable surface.
Free choice of colours – both inside and out
The combined wood|aluminium construction makes it possible to choose dif-
ferent colours inside and out. Our fifteen standard colours are carefully selected
from among the most popular colours on the market, and they can be combined
to give the home the perfect architectural look.
In addition to our standard colours, it is possible to choose among 180
colours in the RAL scale.
